I’m one of those people who started out with the family BBC computer, and decided, “hey, those lines of weird writing look like fun”.
I studied with Microsoft Access and Pascal at A Level, taught myself more about JET and VBA, before moving into the challenges of .NET, C#, MS-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and jQuery.
I have dabbled with ORM, using nHibernate and a bit of Microsoft’s Entity Framework – can’t decide which I prefer – and have dipped my toes in the LAMP world with a bit of MySQL and PHP.
More recently, I have moved into the SharePoint universe, creating a company-wide deployment from scratch.
I’ve been programming professionally since 2007, and currently work for a manufacturing company in Waterlooville, UK.
