Device Channels Yes I'm talking about Device Channels even when they are not mentioned in the question, because they can deliver the best performance and optimizability for the end user and the client - in my opinion :) Pro individual designed HTML/CSS and JS foreach device -- no need for hiding or removing incompatible elements -- faster because you just ...

Since respond.js is a presentational script, its placement within your HTML can dramatically impact page performance and execution time, especially on less capable browsers with slower JS engines. This module takes the guesswork out of placement and puts the script where it will be most effective. Optimal location is in the head after your CSS but before ...

I apologize, not enough street cred to comment. I usually work in On Prem environments, so not sure if this will help. However, there is a setting in the masterpage that limits your dynamic dropdowns. I've built a few navigation bars with jquery and had the same issue. Anyway in SPD edit your master page search for MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels, most ...

This is a limitation (a.k.a. "feature") of the ASP.NET platform altogether. ASP.NET platform allows a single <form> tag. It actually looks like <form runat="server">, and it's main purpose is to submit the complete page for the ASP.NET framework to process. That being said, you can overcome this limitation by transforming any <form> tags ...

The thing that fixed it for me was my <script> where missing type="text/javascript" I am adding script inside a ContextEditor webpart. Once I added that to my code it started working.

I threw in your code using Firebug and worked like charm (I already had bootstrap referenced in my master page) Try adding the CSS using Script Editor web part, then if it works, move it to your style sheet that's referenced from the master page. Firebug/IE tool is your friend.

This has probably nothing to do with SharePoint. Are you sure you're using the last version of bootstrap ? I had the same issue one time, and I updated the fonts directory provided by bootstrap. Seemed like Chrome was having a problem with woff2 font files, I can't really remember. Edit : I remember now, it was a problem with IIS, I had to update my web....

You can use an isolated bootstrap. https://formden.com/blog/isolate-bootstrap If you just add Bootstrap CSS to your webpage it will conflict with your page’s existing CSS creating a jumbled mess of styles. Wouldn't it be nice if we could isolate Bootstrap CSS to a particular class? We can! We just need to use LESS to prefix all Bootstrap CSS with a ...

From comments: That means jQuery.fn.tab is undefined, which means the jQuery version you are working on does not have Bootstrap tabs appended to it. This could be the result of many things, such as not including the bootstrap script, or order of scripts, or having several versions of jQuery on the same page. There are several ways to get around this, such ...

In order to load jQuery, bootstrap and bootstrap-dialog you should use the config file, that will enable the framework to handle all the loading for you. In order to do so, your config file should have an "externals" part like this: "externals": { "jquery": { "path": "https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.1.1/jquery.min.js", "globalName"...

There are going to be quite a few things that do not look right with the layout once bootstrap is used in SharePoint. Make a custom CSS file and store it in the Style Library to override the some of the changes the bootstrap.css does and reference it in your code when you use bootstrap, or you can open the bootstrap.css file and make the modification you ...

It would cause when the script is loaded before the content is loaded. Try this code May be useful to you, The line controlling font-color on nav bar currently is in bootstrap.css and reads as follows: .navbar-default .navbar-nav > li > a { color: #777;} Inside style.css - you have tried to change the color in a few places, mainly here: .navbar-default, .navbar-nav > li > a, .dropdown-menu { background-color: #...

I have tested your references with content editor web part and working as expected. But it is recommended to download to your site and add reference to avoid cross domain issues.

Since you are using SharePoint online, it probably blocking the cdn domains you used for referencing bootstrap files. This is because of same origin policy adopted by many online site in header to avoid clickjacking. The best way to do it is by downloading those files locally, upload it to the document library and then reference it from there. This way, you ...

Assuming you mean that the colors should match the colors of the current SharePoint theme, you can use this approach - How-to-Easily-Bring-SharePoint-2013-Theme-Colors-Into-Your-Apps When you have a IFrame only app, you can use this to inherit the CSS from the parent - https://stackoverflow.com/a/4613196 and apply some SP classes to your markup to get the ...

Tip: instead of Bootstrap go with Microsofts own "Fabric Core", different syntax; does the same https://dev.office.com/fabric#/styles For now, you still have to load it yourself: https://spoprod-a.akamaihd.net/files/fabric/office-ui-fabric-core/6.0.0/css/fabric.min.css but in the long run it will be there by default, as Microsoft uses it for all modern ...

The solution that Erin is fully explained in this blog post. It is using the SPServices to query the Picture Library and Bootstrap Carousel to render. The other option that I used in a very recent project was the solution provided in Sharegate web site and I do think it is a more robust solution since it is using Content Search Web part with a custom display ...

This might actually be way more challenging that you/your client initially expected. SharePoint's UI is quite complex and it requires a deep understanding to enhance with custom functionality. The incorporation of a framework such as Bootstrap is certainly possible (unlike you were told, I've done it), but not a trivial task. The typical scenario for a ...

It appears you could be running into trouble with your Intranet site trying to get out to the Internet site you list for the jquery-latest.js. I would download that script, and upload it to SharePoint. Also, make sure the masterpage is checked in, as well as any other assets you added.
