An attachment is a computer file attached to another element.
You can attach files to list items to provide additional details or background information, if your list supports attachments. When people view the list items, they can open the files. To add or delete attachments, you must have permission to contribute to the list.
Some lists are not set up to accept attachments, and some types of files may not be allowed as attachments.
