I created an SPFX solution that adds a footer to the bottom placeholder on modern pages of SharePoint Online. The issue I am having is that this footer is fixed to the bottom of the screen. I require it being added into the same scrollable Content Section area of the page. Is there any way to do this? Preferably not using a css hack that can later stop working due to an update from Microsoft.

According to one of my findings online this is not possible but this post is from 2018 and I am hoping that Microsoft has added some sort of configuration when adding the footer to the placeholder that allows this.

Here is a picture showing the fixed footer:

As can be seen the footer is at the bottom but outside of the scrollable area.

Also just to note, I am aware that SharePoint has its own built in footer section that is in the Content Section like I want but this is a reserved footer section for Microsoft where styling it is very limited.
