We have a MS Teams tab which points to a custom page in our application server. In real world, the server could be off or inaccessible due to network. In such cases, the tab simply displays an error message by the browser. The message varies in browsers and is not user-friendly. We got a request to show nice and meaningful message.

I can understand the tab is just an iframe which refers to the app URL defined in the manifest file. But from the MS Teams end, is there any error handling mechanism when the app is not available. For example, redirecting to a custom error page, or even running some scripts? I didn't find anything in MS app manifest schema, neither from google.

Any suggestion? Anybody has the same question?
