We have a production & acceptance SharePoint 2013 environment. We have provisioned the termstore using the PNP Core framework using a template. So all ID's (GUID's) for termgroups, termsets and terms are the same for both environments. The only thing that is different, is the ID of the termstore.

We now restore a backup from P to A. After this all the taxonomy fields are no longer connected to their termsets. I have to manually reconnect the fields to the termsets. We have arround 600 sitecollections so I need to make a script or get it to work out of the box.

The ID's of the termsets are the same. Should my fields be connected or is this the expected behaviour?
