I have a pdf documents stored in SharePoint document library. By default the document open in Edge as the browswer is fine for some of the other documents in the library but the others I want to open in IE. Is there a way to point some of the documents to open in Edge and others open in IE?

Another solution, I was thinking I can add the links to document on a page and change the hyperlink code. For example,

<A HREF="microsoft-internet explorer:https://pandapanda.pdf">Panda Document</A>

Could this be an option too? Is the code correct?

I found some javascript code to be able to open a link in internet explorer. is this the best way to do what i am trying to do?
