I have a SharePoint 2013 environment with one content type for all documents to be uploaded (client requested it) Therefor all documents uploaded have the same content type and captures the same meta data.

The user must select the Document type (Management Metadata, set up in term store) as one of the meta data to the document. The document type can be like: Application, Contract, Invoice, ect.

One of the document types uploaded is 'Contracts', which can be an SLA. They want a notification from SharePoint when an uploaded SLA is about to expire.

So when a document is uploaded with document type Contract, another fields should be added with Expiry date for me to run a query of documents about to expire.
Is something like this possible or is there another way to accomplish this?
