I'm working with a SharePoint List (we'll call it List A) that has a lookup field to a second list (List B).

List B has two fields: REPORT_NAME & RETIRED. RETIRED will either be blank or have an 'x'. List A uses REPORT_NAME from List B.

I only want to see values from REPORT_NAME where RETIRED is blank. I can't seem to get this going.

What I've done so far:

I established a new connection with InfoPath to List B and labeled it List B (2). From List B (2), I'm pulling REPORT_NAME & RETIRED into InfoPath.

I then went into the "Drop Down List Properties" of the Lookup Field and added a filter to the Entries section.

Filter set using data fields:

[LIST B].[REPORT_NAME] = [LIST B (2)].[REPORT_NAME] AND [LIST B (2)].[RETIRED] IS BLANK

This doesn't seem to work. I get the following warning: "The filter expression is on external data and could not be validated. It may not be supported in Web Browser forms". I think that may have something to do with it.

Appreciate all your thoughts. Thank you in advanced!
