while trying to optimize our custom page layouts in SharePoint for printing, I have run into a problem, regarding the look of integrated visio diagrams.

We have embeded our interactive visio diagrams in the page using the "Visio Web Access"-Web Part. However when using CTRL+P to print the page, the diagram seems to ignore page-breaks or any css. It simply floats above the other text and out of its box.

Can someone recommend or tell me how - if possible at all - to style such a web part?

Is CSS even the right approach?

Additional Information:

  • We are using SharePoint Server on Premise 2016
  • Custom page layout is used for publishing sites
