We are using SharePoint Social Feed as a social component in our company network, but without using the SharePoint UI.
All things are done in a modern React based webapp using the REST API.

In the social feed there are normal threads and reference threads.
Instead of normal threads, reference threads are automatically created when people are following a site or liking an item. They are just notifications, not likeable or commentable.

We need to create own reference threads, but all documentations and samples are creating normal threads using SP.Social.SocialPostCreationData.
SocialPostCreationData seems to be the only way to create threads, but it provides no properties to create reference threads.

Is there any way to create real reference threads using the REST API?
