I installed SharePoint 2016 on Windows Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016. I ran the Configuration wizard to create a Single Server Farm but the wizard failed to create the configuration database. Then I tried the PowerShell where I got the same error:

New-SPConfigurationDatabase –DatabaseName SharePoint_Config –DatabaseServer yyyyyyy –AdministrationContentDatabaseName SharePoint_Content –Passphrase (ConvertTo-SecureString xxxxxx –AsPlaintext –Force) –FarmCredentials (Get-Credential) -localserverrole SingleServerFarm

I tried this solution but it seems that the registry key is correct:

I don't know how to troubleshoot this program, any help will be appreciated!

Many thanks!

    I am seeing only 2 entries for lp in your registry....so u should have one for English, 1 for French and 1 for Spanish...or you can try to uninstall both then configure SharePoint....once it completed you can install lp again

The error log means you have installed the language pack on this server , but for some reason , the server derecognize .So you need to add another key in your registry .

1033 is valid for US English;

1036 is valid for French ;

For Spanish , please refer to the following web site to determine the value .

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc824907.aspx

Then run the Configuration Wizard again .
