I cannot find how to add comments to the project tasks.
For example, if we have "Task A" and we need to update the status, we would like to leave a comment for this task.
The default columns at
Tasks content type do not have a
comments column, meanwhile, it has a
Description column that can be used as comments column to add more details about your task , and to show it you should click on
show more as shown below :
Also,if you don't want to use
Description column ,you can add
comments column to your task list content type that should be shown within task item at edit form as the following:
Open SharePoint Designer > Connect to your Site.
Go to List ad Library > click on your task list > below customization section click edit list columns.
If you can't use Sharepoint Designer , try to do the following steps
If you need to apply comments column for all lists that have Task Content Type
Web Designer Galleries> click on
Site content types.
List Content Type.
add from existing site columns.
If you need to add comments column only for this list .
