I've set up App environment on my dev machine by following this guide and I disabled loopback check and added my app domain to IE trusted sites. I successfully deployed one SharePoint-hosted app, however, I'm encountering the following problem -

Everytime I try to access to my Apps I got the message "The resource cannot be found". After inpsecting the source of the page, it seems app.master is missing.

EDIT: As far as I can see from /_layouts/15/_catalogs/masterpage (Master Page Gallery) - there isn't any masterpage named app.master.

  • If you can not find any solution and it doesn't hurt your system to go off for a while(1 hour almost) I suggest you go to control panel and repair the SharePoint. I have done this a couple of times, when I couldn't find a shorter solution. Repair never caused any trouble in my servers. – el94 Aug 6 '14 at 8:15

I simply searched for app.master in Hive-15 and manually uploaded app.master to the Master Page Gallery - now everything works just fine.
