May 30, 2013 at 7:42 comment added Vandoorn Kevin still can't find how to alter the XSLT file in SharePoint 2013 not even when I add the search result web part.
May 21, 2013 at 8:54 comment added dzookatz Ok, try put your search results as a web part. You can find information about it on technet and MSDN. If you set your search results to a web part, you will be able to edit it and manipulate it easily, like all the above tutorials show.
May 21, 2013 at 7:04 comment added Vandoorn Kevin It doesn't really tell how to adjust the template to open a file :(
May 17, 2013 at 14:12 comment added dzookatz Also, take a look at this link: social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/es-ES/sharepointsearchprevious/… This in particular, for SP 2013: habaneroconsulting.com/insights/…
May 17, 2013 at 14:02 comment added dzookatz I think you can add a Content Query Web Part to the Search results page and edit it's XSLT. That should do it.
May 17, 2013 at 13:57 comment added Vandoorn Kevin Any solution to this problem?
May 17, 2013 at 13:41 comment added Vandoorn Kevin I do not have this webpart on my page. I only have these webpart : - Search box , - search navigation , - Search results not the core search results in the properties of search results there is nothing about the XSLT Version 2013
May 17, 2013 at 13:39 comment added dzookatz Like the Tutorial says: "On search result page where keyword are currently appearing in bold, click site actions and go to edit page. Now All webpart on page will appear in editable format. To modify the display we need to edit search core results webpart, locate this webpart on page and click on edit webpart option. Now it will open the tool pane of webpart in right side, click on XSLT Edit button in tool pane. It will open the webpart XSLT." This should work no matter the SP version you are using.
May 17, 2013 at 13:35 comment added Vandoorn Kevin A still have a small isue , i can't seem to find the XSL editor butten when i edit the result page :( i try to find the properties but don't see them
May 17, 2013 at 13:23 comment added dzookatz Do it only for those links you want to open in a new window. If you want them all to open, then place them on all links.

May 17, 2013 at 13:02 comment added dzookatz I've updated my answer, the tutorial should show you how to do it :) Basically, you should edit the XSL of the Search results page and look for the lines to be edited.
