Oct 27, 2021 at 12:54 comment added John John so can you edit your original question,, mentioning that you r approach can only change the colors not the fonts , which i were asking to achieve ? thanks
Oct 27, 2021 at 11:46 comment added jo1storm @johnGu I know. But that's the only way to do it. In the end, I did it by targeting the classes in the widest possible way, like: [class*="title-"] etc
Oct 27, 2021 at 11:04 comment added John John but doing CSS injection is not supported by Microsoft as per my knowledge.. mainly because the markup you are customizing (either CSS classes or ids) might get changed by Microsoft...
Oct 27, 2021 at 7:16 comment added jo1storm @johnGu you are correct. I was forced to use spfx extension to make it work by injecting custom css. It appears that themes have stopped working that way on modern pages, even if you edit them just right.
Oct 26, 2021 at 17:15 comment added John John i tried your approach and i can only change the colors for the theme, while i am unable to change the font size, family and color... am i correct?
Sep 23, 2021 at 7:34 comment added jo1storm Ok, accept the answer if it works.
Sep 22, 2021 at 10:39 comment added John John ok thanks will try this and let you know if i face any issues
Sep 22, 2021 at 9:57 comment added jo1storm You can change both fonts and colors by making a custom theme and site template. It is mostly used to change colors, though, but it is a recommended way to change the fonts on the whole site.
Sep 22, 2021 at 9:56 comment added John John so will this approach allow us to change the default fonts ? or it is mainly used for changing the color?
Sep 22, 2021 at 6:24 comment added jo1storm @johnGu I have tried it and I have done it before. It is the only way to put custom colors and fonts Online. It requires some development and can't be done out of the box. Previously, you could just upload master page using css, but Online is a bit more stringent about that. Some sharepoint links that could help you in your task: social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/…
