I've tried in the past your trick with "temporary" disable RemoteAdministratorAccessDenied and it was not working for me, only disable using powershell

I would also suppose that a site scoped feature doesn't have the permission required to set the RemoteAdministratorAccessDenied, as that would destroy any purpose of the security setting. | |
