Duplicate of jQuery accordion on Wiki page only works in edit mode?
Jan 23, 2020 at 14:50 comment added jEB I did look at that post, but my issue was due to having MDS enabled. I haven't used jQuery at all in this process.

Jan 22, 2020 at 18:12 comment added jEB Yes! That was it. When I disabled MDS, it works great. I'll put that in as the answer. Thanks for your help.
Jan 22, 2020 at 17:57 comment added Dylan Cristy Also it might have to do with MDS being enabled. Can you disable MDS and check to see if it works then?
Jan 22, 2020 at 17:56 comment added Dylan Cristy The answer there is not really related to it being jQuery, it's about how the browser is interpreting the <script> tags and whether or not they were considered valid or legal without the language and type attributes. See the comment below the answer.

Edited to show code without the unnecessary head and body sections

Reworded from "HTML Webpart" (which is not a real thing) to OP's intended Content Editor Web Part, and updated tags appropriately

Jan 22, 2020 at 16:24 comment added willman can you post your html content, kind of hard to troubleshoot or debug without a copy
Jan 22, 2020 at 16:19 comment added jEB I'm using Sharepoint 2016. By "HTML WebPart", I do mean the Content Editor WebPart. I'm putting in the HTML with the Form Content Editor.
Jan 22, 2020 at 16:12 comment added willman By "HTML WebPart", I assume you are using the "Content Editor WebPart"? Also, which version of SharePoint are you using?
