| Dec 1, 2016 at 23:15 | comment | added | John John | Yes i just notice this .. but how come i can Create & Delete a site collection from the UI using this account ,, but i can not restore the site collection.. this does not make sense.. i thought for a while that i lost my site collection!!never thought that the username i am using which can delete a site collection from the UI can not restore a site collection using powershell!! | |

| Dec 1, 2016 at 18:20 | comment | added | John John | unfortunately this did not work. now i read that this might be a permission problem, now i was logined using the Sharepoint farm, and using this username i was able create site collection using the UI, perform a backup ,etc.. but when i tried restoring a site collection i got these errors. so now i login with the sharepoint admin account ,, run the restore and it worked... i thought i lost my work !!! this case is really strange ,, so using the farm account i can create, delete , backup site collections... but can not restore !! | |
