comment get all possible value for lookup field
Then you're using the wrong object. A lookup is a pointer to a value in another list. (with id/display) a choice is just a collection of string values.

comment get all possible value for lookup field
Are you creating a lookup site column or a choice site column?

comment 2 Content Types: Same column name, different choices. Possible?
Sure here's a sample solution to provision site columns brett.maytom.net/2008/09/08/… and here's msdn documentation for the field element msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/…

comment populate list after creation of site from custom site defintion
Well you can try to do this: 1 - Create a feature with an instance of this list type 2 - This specific instance has the data you need. 3 - If you're working with site templates I suppose you know that you can define which features should be activated on the site creation. If you don't, let me know and I'll post an example of a site template I have. Cheers!

comment How can I move an item in a library to another folder preserving meta-information?
I haven't tried that kind of translation, but the same approach should work. The only thing you should do is to build the newUrl right. You need to do some concept-proof in order to check if the content types move smoothly

comment Restrict printing and editing on a pdf created with word automation services
So basically I would have to open the pdfs programmatically and add the restriction. Ok I'll google If there's anyway to do that using iTextSharp. Thanks!

Just found this blogs.msdn.com/b/yardman/archive/2010/06/29/…. I'm currently doing some concept testing to see how it works.

comment delete item in list
by all means, avoid doing mySite.Lists[TextBox1.Text], it loads all the lists belonging to the site and just to get one. Instead, you can use mySite.Lists.TryGetList(listName)

comment I have written following code wont get it work because after my query i dont know what to write
First of all, that code should not compile (since the string.Format needs at least two parameters). Second, that query might return a collection of SPListItems which if you iterate to update will obviously update ALL the elements in the SPListItemCollection

comment TaxonomyField not updating
I'm not updating the taxonomy field through the taxonomy field client api. I'm using var site = SPContext.Current.Site; var session = new TaxonomySession(site); return session.TermStores[ConfigurationHelper.GetInstance().ConfigItems[GlobalConstants‌.METADATA_SERVICE_NAME]].Groups.Where(c => string.Compare(c.Name, GroupName, true) == 0).FirstOrDefault(); to get the group and then the taxonomy value which it does fetch. Then I assign the value to the field and call the item.Update(). Then if I check the field it still has the past value

@HughWood what do you mean it does nothing? (again it works like a charm when I'm calling the function from a webpart for example, but from a webservice does nothing) (yes I'm using SP2010)

comment Refresh sending page from modal dialog popup?
Page.Response.Redirect is a server function. SP.UI.... are client side functions. window.location.href = window.location.href is reloading your browser like you're entering the current url for the first time (without loading again cached resources and all that stuff). The SP.UI.ModalDialog.RefreshPage(enumvalue) only refreshes the page if the value is the 'OK' enum value. (just tested it on firefox)

comment Accordiion webpart in sharepoint 2010
Actually, is quite possible to nest a webpart inside another webpart. The thing is your users wont be able to configure them. Your best bet is what @erickb recommends. Using bootstrap, JqueryUI or whatever javascript tab plugin you find suitable for your needs
