Currently I am a Technical Consultant. Previously, I was a Jr. Database Administrator and before that, a SQL Server Database Programmer. My graduate research and studies are primarily involved with database models and optimization. I like to write on my blog about technical problems which I've encountered. Migrate Access to SQL Server for SharePoint Integration & Reporting
James, thanks for your insight. I stumbled upon SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant) for Access that should help the migration. After further research, it seems that an external DB will have better performance and provides better flexibility.
