I am a developer at a consulting firm, RBA Inc. We do anything microsoft, but I work for the Sharepoint team. I always say I work around SharePoint because any non-SP solution I can find to a problem I will take it.

The OP's div isn't a server control so your div000.Visible won't work.

Misread your comment, yes, a panel can easily be hidden. When you async post back from the update panel and change the value of the visible property, the panel will be rendered or not rendered.

How would you hit your show button if it is in the hidden panel? The normal asp:Panel can easily be hidden.
