comment List Workflow doesn't fire if site permissions assigned to group?
I have the exact same problem. Have you found a solution to this?

comment SP2013 unknown reason for access issues
Access failed after adding "Contribute" permissions to the user directly at the site root. I can't check the user account as I am not a system administrator but I know the user can log in to a Windows box with their AD account.

comment SP2013 unknown reason for access issues
Same error every time. He is not prompted for credentials: Windows Based authentication AD account matches the user added to group "Site Members." He receives the friendly page that says he can request access to the page by providing a reason. Even if he sends and I accept this request through "Site Settings | Access invitations and requests" as a Collection and Site Administrator the user still cannot get gain access. This happens for multiple browsers.

Thank you - In IE11 I clicked File Properties and saw that the SharePoint site is in the intranet zone. the Logon setting is set to "Automatic logon only with current user name and password. The user is internal, using Windows Authentication within SharePoint. I am not able to recreate this problem - but the user experienced the problem even this morning. I assume the Logon setting is fine as is.. any other suggestion is appreciated. I also added, then removed the registry key from the source posted followed by a restart of WebClient each time. Issue never recreated on my end.

1. Confirmed. 2. Don't believe this to be true regarding SP Extensions on a single server instance. >If you want to use a deployment of SharePoint Products >that is on a different server, you must install the Team >Foundation Server extensions for SharePoint Products on > that server or servers. Is there a way to determine the "Farm Administrator Account?" If not, can I use my DA account?

i was unclear in stating that this is MOSS 2007. We have about 300 external users (clients). Is there any way to accomplish this before upgrading to MOSS2010? Will it work on MOSS 2010 with the Foundation edition?

I received a message: You do not have Sharepoint installed on this server. We have it installed on a dedicated server, but that server has VS2005. Is there any way around this? I don't see why people developing applications for sharepoint would be doing them directly on the production server anyway..

I tried to run this: I received a continuous popup powershell window that would open and close until I hit Ctrl + C , and unfortunately I do not know how to resolve it. Also I am wondering how I could get the ACLs for the groups without somewhere providing my credentials in this script.. is it going to use SSO?

comment manage permissions per list
I am a site collection Administrator so I should have the proper permissions. I can't navigate to where you are describing, can you provide more details? Under the ACTIONS menu for the portfolio, as a site collections administrator I see the following: Export To Spreadsheet, View RSS Feed, Alert Me.
