I guess you can't update an SPFieldLink, but you can replace it? I've tried to do that, but it doesn't look like it is working. Code posted above.

The SPFieldLink class does not appear to have a Choices property or anything similar. How can i do this with an SPFieldLink?

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately, SPFieldLink.Name is read only. Using SPField.Update(true) by itself didn't work.
