Allow document “Move” but prevent deletion This wasn't exactly what I did, but was the closest one. The custom move operation was already built, so I just needed elevated privileges on the SPListItem it self, AllowUnsafeUpdates on the item SPWeb and finally call SP MoveTo() |

Create SP People Picker on the client-side I created a aspx that just renders a PeoplePicker control and I am extracting what is needed (HTML and JS) so I could dynamically create new "peoplePickers" client-side. I guess nobody have done this before (at least I couldn't find anything online) and this will be useful on the new "Windows 8 HTML/JS" sphere, so I will post my findings when I am done. But thanks for your help eirikb |

Create SP People Picker on the client-side So you just had to create the proper HTML skeleton, include entityeditor.js and that's it? I check the HTML sent to generate a datepicker and it creates a bunch ridiculous JS functions like __Dialog__StupidIdName. So I was wondering how could you get this out of the box. |

Force “Minor check in” when (instead of) “Major check in” occurs I don't get any errors or exceptions, the document simply checks in as a major version, ignoring my changes. However the event is properly attached because if I use properties.Cancel = true; the event is canceled properly. |

How to translate IE dialog messages (shown in document check out/discard changes) Thanks Deepu but I tried both and sadly didn't work. Maybe installing Office 2010 language pack would solve this problem but I have to pay $25 to buy the Japanese language pack and I will not pay to try something that may not solve my problem. I will keep this question open until I find a solution. |
