I am currently a .NET/MVC Developer at Detroit Trading Co. and am leaving the SharePoint world behind for the time being.

I have a healthy obsession with veg food, and an unhealthy compulsion to clean code.

comment Least Level of Permissions for Web Part Page
IIRC I had an empty web part page to try to debug least level of privilege, but the extra permission in question was being required by something in the master page. I have no way to verify this now though, don't even work with SharePoint anymore.

comment Dreamweaver and SharePoint Question - Can you WYSIWYG data-bound elements on an HTML Page?
Isn't this really a Dreamweaver & Knockout question rather than a SharePoint specific question? "Can I make a page in Dreamweaver with Knockout bound elements?"

comment How to hide a column from new item but not edit item?
Using the object model allows SharePoint to manage this field's display without having to move away from using the default form. And I don't think that any of these answers would take more or less time than each other. They're all relatively quick fixes if you know what you're doing.

comment How to hide a column from new item but not edit item?
I agree that this is a much better answer than using jQuery in a Content Editor Web Part, but if you make a custom form and down the road additional columns are added to the list, won't you have to modify your form as well?
