Connect directly to subsite without viewing home (Part 2) I think you are right, how would one know if this is the case from the above code. I cannot see something obvious. |

Connect directly to subsite without viewing home (Part 2) Yes, indeed I have, this was stated in the first post and has been done. The sub-site does not inherit permissions from the top site. I have given the user(s) direct permissions on only the sub-site. |

User to access SharePoint 2010 Subsite only (Vendor Problem?) Ok... I think you are right...I have created a new site without my template and it works. When I use my template I get the error message. I have access all the viewlsts.aspx and other stuff. However when I access the home.aspx I get the error message. |

User to access SharePoint 2010 Subsite only (Vendor Problem?) You are right. There was a logo that was on the home page and was connected to the home page. I have deleted it but I get the same error.... Is there any way to find out if there are assets coming from other site/libraries. |

User to access SharePoint 2010 Subsite only (Vendor Problem?) It is just basic access to view a few docs and maybe a discussion board. Nothing complicated. I am wondering if there is an issue with the vendor. |

Open docs from SP2010 in excel/word crashes I have tried other laptops, same thing. I have done a the repair on office 2010 but it does work with office 2007. Question - Is it possible that the vendor who is supplying the service make some error on their side? |

Connect directly to subsite without viewing home Yes, you are right. I do understand the logic. But I still get this problem. I will investigate with the company and let you know. I do not know if the permission pass through right away. |

Connect directly to subsite without viewing home aaaa ok... Sorry Maybe I have not made my self clear... I do not want the user to view the HOME PAGE on the MAIN TOP site. But I do want them ONLY to see the subsite and all its content. |
