comment What is the negative side of 'Remove-SPUser' in SharePoint 2010?
Just a note: In order to clear the usernames from your site content, you'll have to write a script to crawl all sp webs/lists/items and delete it from there. It should replace the name with SYSTEM\system. Great info though, thanks!

comment EnsureUser has a limitation?
We have a Windows Zone set up for our intranet, but all of the accounts I'm dealing with are all going to be on our internet zone - which is only claims based. I can get the c:0-.f|myprovider|groupname just fine, and any group with -1000- or more is found as well. I just tried to run the command using the format you suggested, and the group name (which will show in SharePoint to all of our users) returned as c:0+.w|[SID], which won't work.

comment How exactly does =[Me] work?
Yeah, I'm using Claims. It's not in a calculated column per se, it's more in a default value of a Free Text column (so the user can change it if they want to).

comment Sum columns based on 'type' column
This actually set me on the path to find the answer, THANKS! It got me thinking more on totals... I just used a DVWP in SPD, grouped it by the type, added a sum footer, and used the sum($nodeset/@column) for each column, then deleted the rows and left the footer. Using SPD, I could format it perfectly for the Excel Web Query! Thanks again.
