Updating a Page Template to propagate through to pages using said template it is all related to your web part settings. sometimes some web parts would require updating their settings, e.g. List View web parts, Content Query. Pay attention to all those Properties in the exported XML and make sure they have relevant values, e.g. site collection relative paths, etc. |

How to show organization chart in SharePoint 2010 This is not working when used in any other non-MySite, it does require tcscblog.com/2011/04/11/… and it also depends on AD structure, and having Manager property setup |

Can not delete a column from an InfoPath form library even if Read-only, you should have been able to remove it via Library Settings, either directly, or if coming from a Content Type to navigate to the content type & remove it. No contradiction to my explanation to my sense. |

Navigation back from the Search Center in SharePoint 2010 Yes, got that, i'm simply explaining your options. the simplest being to change the minimal.master to include a LinkButton to ~site, or manually insert the navigational controls, because by default, none are present. |

Updating a Page Template to propagate through to pages using said template Yes, it is! you would need simply to configure and export the web parts, after which via SPD you would add resulting XML from export into any Web Part zone in the Page layout. |

Can not delete a column from an InfoPath form library It seems those columns have been previously created, not by promoting fields while publishing the InfoPath. If you really do not need these, simply delete those columns, via List Settings, not InfoPath - be aware that data loss is definite. After, you open the form and it shall detect change in the list. |
