comment Does a Sharepoint 2013 Online hosted Add-in have to create an app and app site?
Thanks! An iframe-less, app-less widget model would be great, but if fully integrated into SPO web part, app catalog and even o365 app store features . Something end users can deploy and share. But in general SP API needs to get better and open more up to client side. For example, why can't client side code easily add or change web part properties? Also, is it just me or could SPO benefit from a built in, cloud based code IDE for pages, web parts and code block/widgets? Embed Code, Script Editor and Content Editor leave a lot be desired.

comment Disable Edit WebPart and/or Snippet link in a Script Editor Web Part on SharePoint Page?
The problem with Content Editor Webparts is they are not as portable. have you ever tried to export and move the webpart between sites. Having to reconfigure Content editor webparts on each site is not ideal of us. i can send users a configured script editor web part and have them just upload to webparts. Also, site admins can still edit webpart and see the reference.

For some reason, content editor web parts are not portable like script editors.

comment Securing an on Premise non-SharePoint .NET WEBAPI method with o365 Authentication token
yes I understand, but you would be passing this user information to the web service how? Plain text in a query string? What's to stop a savvy user from seeing the formatted web service call and sharing it with anybody.

Calls to the service will be made from SharePoint Online pages behind the scenes. We don't want users to have to authenticate more than once and when running these special pages. When you say add users... what kind of users? these are o365 Cloud users.
