comment Can a SharePoint Document library be mounted like a traditional drive?
My XP session is limited ... I don't have that "Map Drive option" ... is a work machine in a managed environment. Oh well.

comment Open txt files in document library in an editor (notepad)
Were you able to solve the "open with Notepad" issue by adding the document library as a network location? When I add a SharePoint site to my network location I still have the same issue: can't open non-MS Office documents.

comment Get value from drop down using jQuery (lookup column)
@DavePaylor - I am using 2007, maybe that's the difference? It generates a strange input field with lookups of more than 20 items that has a hidden input field that manages the value changes via javascript. Or something.

So - that doesn't work for me. If I do $("#my_lookup_input_id").val() I get the original value but if I do $("#my_lookup_input_id option:selected").val() I get undefined. (same for just :selected).

@andrew.petersen15 - it is rendered as an input tag.

comment Design Workflow that Emails People in Assigned To (Except for Created By)
Hi and thanks! This gets me close to the answer but not the last part: if I create a task and assign myself plus three other people, the three other people would get an email (but I would not) ... I am beginning to think it may not be possible to do in SPD2007.

comment Design Workflow that Emails People in Assigned To (Except for Created By)
So - with this, I am able to email the folks who are in the AssignedTo column. However, my questions is, that I want to email those folks in AssignedTo who are not the Current Item:Created By. That is, I don't want to email myself when I assign myself a task. I only want to email the other people I may have assigned.
