I work with Java web technologies and I've worked with SharePoint, C#, and related technologies in the past. I love learning about security/networking topics and teaching others when I have the opportunity. But most of all, it seems like all of my reputation points go towards bounties, so I guess I ask a lot of tough questions :)

Install sandbox solution to SPWeb Yeah, I figured as much (and I also saw that documentation). I guess it can't be done using powershell either, since I can't access the server anyway. Btw, do you know of any way how I can tell what the URL is of the site collection? |

Cannot set BCS MethodInstance permissions through Central Administration @justforkix09 Yeah I know you can do that, it is what I recommended to my team. My team doesn't want to do that because it is "too difficult to maintain" so I was overruled, but I did make sure they know the security implications. If I had time, I would write my own interface... it's a shame the option doesn't seem to exist OOTB. |

Cannot set BCS MethodInstance permissions through Central Administration @justforkix09 I do not know of any place where I can set a MethodInstance's permissions in Central Admin. Am I missing some part of the UI? |

Risk of conflict between jQuery document ready and _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames? He's curious because that's how one gains knowledge. |

CSS inheritance rules and AlternateCSS Thanks for the confirmation. I don't know why this is not mentioned in any of the numerous articles I read about using CSS with master pages. Hopefully Googlers out there will see this first. |

SharePoint List form (add new items to the list) Yes but that doesn't answer my original question. I want to use List forms because that is the standard SharePoint\ way of customizing the interface that allows the user to create, read, or update list items. even if you can point me in the right direction that would be helpful... |

SharePoint List form (add new items to the list) How can I use SPD to bind fields to a list? Everything I've seen thus far starts out with fields already bound to the list. Additionally, what happens if I want the new list item form to say (xxx)xxx-xxxx but the list to say the full string of numbers xxxxxxxxxx without the formatting. What happens if I also want the list to have the formatting? These are the kind of questions I'm looking for answers to. That being said, JQuery doesn't seem like a bad idea, nor do your other suggestions. |
