Are they based in the U.S.? Is there a phone number you can call for tech support, not just a double-secret help desk submission process that can't send you an email that they replied? Do they understand SharePoint better than you?

comment Clear image cache in Office 365 Public Website
I removed the keyword 'Events' from one of the pictures. I am using similar coding on different pages, each one keys off of a keyword. That way, I can assign one or more keywords to a picture to make it show in a slideshow on a specific page, without changing the code.

comment Clear image cache in Office 365 Public Website
That makes sense if it was a browser cache, but as I said in my post, the broken image remains after clearing the browser cache, AND when using different browsers and computers. The caching is at the server, which I cannot clear because this is a Office 365 public website.

I use SPServices to pull the images from the library. I updated my post to show the code.

Not available in public site for Office 365. I have images that are not visible, looking for a way to clear the cache and see if that is the problem.

What is really frustrating is that you have full capability in the "Team" site collections. So, why not in the public facing web site? In 2007 you can start with a Blank or Team website and add additional lists as you want. Why not in 2013?

Like I said, I was thinking the two site collections were the same, but they aren't. So the out of the box lists are not available in the public site collection, but third party apps ARE? That makes no sense at all.

See my answer. I can't even open the ManageFeatures.aspx page to see if Team Collaboration Lists is activated on my Website site collection.

I listed the apps I can add to my post. Calendar, Links and Tasks are not among them.

comment List Template doesn't appear in gallery after wsp deployment
If the List Templates Gallery is not working, try the above in another Site Collection. Your overall SharePoint install may be corrupt, you could run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard.

Sorry to break your tumbleweed record, but did you ever find an answer to this? I am experiencing the same problem.

comment Helping to prevent Webpart Unable to Display
Sure thing. Pages, Lists, etc. in a site come from a template (Team Site, Blank Site). SharePoint uses the template info when showing "ghosted" or unmodified pages. If you customize a page (like adding a new Web Part Zone), your page is "unghosted" and SharePoint has to store your customization as additional info in the database. All this custom information can increase your database size over time, so it is better not to customize a page for no reason. You can click "Reset to site definition" under Site Settings to get rid of customizations. See also here: t.co/QbQT9xBKZD

comment Cannot add aspx file to root folder
I agree with Derek, create a document library and upload the .aspx file to that library. You then have two options: Either grant users Add rights to that library, or wrap that section of code in elevated permissions code, and make the library read-only.

comment Needed help to build caml Query with multiple <And>
You are saying "wrong result". If the CAML query is not properly formatted (e.g., <And> tag in the wrong place) then you should get an error. If you don't get an error, what exactly is the wrong result?

comment comparing values of two columns in sharepoint 2007 list
Why is it necessary to have two columns? You can build a view to only show results when "Number of Patents" = 0.
