Did you have to manually copy over the dll associated with the template? Also, did you load SharePoint Management Shell with the process class and then use the uploadtemplate command?

That's what I thought but I am still getting a "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\Template\Features\FT-01-6c9edb80-4be2-73f2-3ef4-bb647484b323\MyFor‌​m.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. " Error when I try to open it

comment How to grab InfoPath form's FormState contents from the document library?
I inherited some forms that store a bunch of information in the FormState and I am trying to consolidate a bunch of that code in some document library event receivers. I was thinking of either storing that info in the xml of the form or, like you suggested, in a field and publish those fields.

Yes except SPContext is null for me this in this case so I had to go with the SPWeb object from the event properties to grab the CurrenUser

Close to nothing. It opens an xml file in a XDoc and passes it to the class library. The strange thing is, this doesn't happen on a different SharePoint environment that I have.
