You can use the iso version with SP1 slipstreamed.

I think it's a formatting issue. I notice in Frederik's code he uses a javascript function called escape around the GUIDs. It may be this will help blogs.technet.com/b/sharepointcomic/archive/2008/12/09/…

comment How to delete a Task that is associated to an item and workflow that have been deleted
My next troubleshooting steps would be to first look at all of the events in the ULS occurring just before or after every call to $task.recycle() then, if that doesn't reveal the issue, get out a dissasembler and start walking through the sharepoint code to find the issue.

Have you checked the ULS Logs? There may be additional error information that could help in troubleshooting.

comment How can you move a document with its version history to a new library?
Thanks for the update @thantos. It's possible in the 4+ years since I posted this question that the functionality has been improved. Out of curiosity, what version and patch level did it work for you on? In January 2010, I was likely either using SharePoint 2007 SP2 or SharePoint 2010 RTM.

I'd suggest removing the fields in the datasheet view one by one until you've found the culprit.

The hotfix I referenced above addresses the "An unexpected error has occurred. Changes to your data cannot be saved." issue for SharePoint 2007. It should already be a part of 2010. Are the columns shown in both of your views the same?

Yes. I'm afraid that's what you get with an external list. If you'd like, you can add custom actions.
