comment SP2010: Why are individual user accounts appearing in group list
Click on it? Not sure if it'll be that simple. I don't know if you can determine the user type through the UI, should be able to through PowerShell or code.

comment SP2010: Why are individual user accounts appearing in group list
Sorry, I mean the user accounts that are blacked out, these are in fact user accounts and not AD groups posing as user accounts?

These are users, not AD user groups, or distro groups?

comment Possible to start workflow when item added to network folder?
Check out my post: davidlozzi.com/2012/02/29/loading-sharepoint-lists-from-excel, this walks through reading a CSV and saving into SharePoint. In your case, your AD script will write directly to SharePoint.

How did you 'figure out a way to uninstall'? Try a IISRESET or reboot, that may clear things up.

I'd create a new issue on the site for this item, let everyone see what's happening now ;) good luck!

comment SP13 - Calendar Permissions
Correct, they should be able to read all items, and only edit their own if you match the above. did you update the view to filter by [Me]?

comment SP13 - Calendar Permissions
If users can still edit your events, can you confirm what security groups they're in? Note the note on the left, there are permission groups which override this setting. Also, if you want them to only see their own, you can filter it to read items that were created by the user. In addition, for those admins, you can create a [Me] view to help narrow it down.
