Site creation in SharePoint designer 2010 missing options (Quick Launch, Top Navigation) Thanks, one would think that with the Designer the whole structure of a SharePoint sitecollection can be managed/edited, but it is not. Only a site (SPWebs) can be designed / altered. The global structure not :( |

Hiding content from authenticated users? Keep in mind that Audience Targeting only hides/shows content to certain audiences, it doesn't make it inaccessible. With 'URL-hacking' (e.g. changing the id from 2 to 3 in the url) or 'Show all content' the content can be seen. |

Create a new document from Sharepoint using column data and Quick Parts Maybe if i rephrase my Question my intentions become more clear: How to create a new document based on data in a SharePoint list and a document template. Think of an invoice-generator: Start with a list with invoice data and a invoice-document-template; generate a new Invoice and store it for later use. |

Connecting with Outlook fails with “Cannot start Outlook” Crossposted at: social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/… Problem isn't probably not a SharePoint issue, but a IE8/Outlook issue. social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/… Uninstalling IE8 (thus reverting back to IE7) solves my problems for now. |

I can connect from 'The Office', There* the outlook integration is working fine. The list is connected via: ServerName/Lists/Tasks * on the server, there is no physical office |
