Need to upload 2-3gb in a doc library You can use a links list, which will allow you to enter a location, and add any metadata columns you need. Just remember you need to configure FTP/file share security too. :) |

MOSS 2010 Content Deployment Reset List ID's Good points. I would put the version requirement as a strong point - unless you are in fact testing an upgrade. But even then, you restore it before the upgrade process anyway. :) |

What to backup doing a user profile data import Thanks @Falak, to clarify further on where the user profile data is stored - will backing up the SSP content database restore the user profile data? |

Deploying SharePoint 2010 WSP to MOSS 2007 This does not answer the question. The PO has asked to deploy a WSP built for SP2010 into a MOSS 2007 farm. Your link explains how to deploy a WSP into multiple site collections. |

SharePoint Foundation 2010 - Production Also I believe the express editions have conditions on use, so they may not be able to be used in a production environment. Again, these are EULA, which are detailed and legally written, we are not in a position to confirm/deny. |

Moving Sharepoint to New Server I was just talking about the standard set of service accounts used to install and configure a SharePoint farm. |

Moving Sharepoint to New Server You create an A record in DNS with a hostname (e.g. SharepointOld, or intranet.myorg.com), which points to the IP of the server. |
