Paging in an edited Webpart Creating a data view web part in Sharepoint Designer will give you an idea on what the paging looks like. It's pretty involved. |

Paging in an edited Webpart You'll need to roll your own XSL or contact Christophe to see if he can alter the generator to include paging. |

Uploading multiple documents into a library keeps the documents checked out and not visible to other users It doesn't do merges, so if User A starts editing a version with Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 in it and decides to delete paragraph 2, if user B opens the file before any changes are saved back, he'll see paragraphs 1, 2, and 3. If user A saves the file before user B finishes, the current version will have paragraphs 1 and 3. User B makes minor edits to paragraph 1 and saves the file. You're back to paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 again. Forcing check out is the only way to remedy that. |

How do I create a create a site template that includes customizations? What customizations specifically didn't come through? Is it that the filters were no longer connected? |

Whats the difference between host headers and alternate access mappings? Thanks for the explaination. I'm finding myself in this situation with a couple things we're doing. We spin up new web apps so infrequently the process can get fuzzy quickly, especially when vanity host headers are wanting to be used. |

What are the client side requirements to enable the “upload multiple files” link? Looks like it's An IE feature, in 8 or higher, I don't recall if I had it available in 7. Firefox and Chrome the upload multiple option is not there or doesn't do anything when clicked, so that makes it not dependant on Office (maybe I'm thinking of SPS 2003 on that one). |

Please suggest a practice to deploy a sharepoint site collection from test to production server Thats fine, I think others will be saying the same thing. If it was merely a site feature or something like that, it would be different. I think the only other option would be content deployment. |
