Migrating to SharePoint 2010 I just realized we're conversing on my other post. You mentioned an "upgrade progress" when mounting the database. Does that mean that I did not use the correct syntax? Also the database name is what it was in MOSS 2007 less the ".bak" extension. So when it mounted the actual database name inclided the extension. |

Creating site collection with SSL No it did not fix it. So apperantly the admins have recently renamed the actual server to coincide with system wide naming convention and they advised me to reinstall SharePoint. Which I did but now I can't even get the central admin page to come up. I get the 500 error and everytime I refresh the page the app pool gets turned off. |

Creating site collection with SSL In SSL Settings I've checked Reguire SLL and set the cert to Accept. What's strange is that on my dev and test servers I can creates a site with SSL and the process automatically sets everyting up. |

Migrating to SharePoint 2010 I don't recall seeing a progress percentage. This is what I typed in the PowerShell window: Mount-SPContentDatabase "WSS_Content_XXX_Home.bak -DatabaseServer "sql-022" -WebApplication sp-022 |

Creating site collection with SSL When web app and site collection were create I did check the "SSL" radio button and the IIS has created the virtual directory on port 443. There are several error pertaining to SharePoint Foundation in the event logs. No luck accessing ULS logs. Downloaded a viewer grom codex site but when I run that it only shows stuff as of the installation. As you can tell quite a novice with SP2010. Thanks for your input. |

Migrating to SharePoint 2010 Thanks for your help David, but it didn't not work. Created the web app without the site collection. Then I "mounted" the database as you suggested. The PowerShell had spit out and ID - a long guid; Name: WSS_Content_XXX_Home.bak - which was the backup of the database from MOSS 2007; Server - the sql server; and CurrentSiteCount: 0 (Zero) - this concerns me. |
