You guess wrong. Please read the entire post before answering. As I said, it started working OK a while back.

comment Content Query Web Part - Custom fields
Ok, done what you suggested but I'm not exactly sure what's changed. I can see that 'Issues' is the only Content Type and in CQWP I have changed it to use List Content Types and Issues. I still only get one column displayed - how do I get more without messing about in XSLT?

comment Content Query Web Part - Custom fields
I see what you're saying, and my understanding of Content Types is obviously not all there, but this is not a Custom List - it is the built in Issue Tracking one I believe. As far as your comment on XML - from what I've read (and I could be wrong) you need to change CommonViewFields too, which to me is the error prone bit - finding the correct field InternalName and Type to use is a faff IMO. I haven't done the XSLT part yet, but importing the Web Part with CommonViewFields changed gives you no hint as to whether it actually got parsed correctly or not.

I have no idea how, but its recently started working fine. I'd be interested to know if anyone has any ideas on this?

Anyone got any ideas here? I tried it on a Library in the route SharePoint site and I got the same problem. So I think that rules out Project Server?
