Now, I understand !!, By using Powershell, we can get build number of our Farm (get-spfarm).buildversion. That needs to be same on both environment, Is that is the solution?

I have no idea about patch version, whats is that? I just take backup from Production DB and restored to development DB. Then I go to central admin and click "add content database" with correct web app selected. And i see this error: "This content database has a schema version which is not supported in this farm". Any idea to fix?

I tried to attach same content DB after restoring with same content DB name, But I got this error: "This content database has a schema version which is not supported in this farm" Any idea to fix it? I have updated my question

Aziz and Asad: I tried both ways you mentioned: but i got error: Get-SitesWithNewsPageCT : The term 'Get-SitesWithNewsPageCT' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.---- But when i run the script for second time it did not give any error and seems to work??
