Lists web service globalization Maybe it's better to fetch server locale first, and act according to it (e.g., server returns en-US but your app in the Finnish - you just format it back and forth on a client side)? |

Lists web service globalization Have you found solution for your issue? I have similar problem: when I fetch Fields with Lists.asmx#GetList all DisplayNames are in en-US locale. How can I switch to other one? |

Sorting direction: Views.GetView method By experimenting with GetView I've found out that GetView returns Ascending property but: only if it's FALSE (for SP Server 2010) and always for Office365 (SP Server Online). Thanks a lot for pointing out to GetViewHtml method! |

ViewFields: additional fields Thanks again. It looks like FromBaseType="TRUE" will opt out all mandatory fields like Modified, Created, etc. Also, you can use static name "Author", instead "Created_x0020_By" to see who created the item. I will filter by hidden==true. |

What does the GetListItems query option IncludeMandatoryColumns do? @KitMenke can it be defined in core content-type? I found only 2 fields in Item content-type, but when you create a new View from SP admin page, there is 15 available. Where did they get it? |
