comment CAML query not working with dates no idea why
I saw this on SPServices forum as well. The correct attribute to use is OffsetDays - regardless of what the MS docs have. To me, it looks like the values of Geq and Leq are reversed. The above is trying to get all items where the start date is greater than 7 days from today --OR-- the end date is Less than 7 days ago. Is that what you really want?

comment How to get List by Url using SharePoint 2013 CSOM
Vadim, if you had mention using another method other than CSOM, then yes. The SOAP services has it a method that you can use - SiteData.GetURLSegments. I wrote about it here: paultavares.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/…

comment How can I create Ctrl-F Functionality from a search field?
Sorry I can't be of more help. If you find where jQuery is being inserted, then you should be able to also include the plugin referenced. Also, if input fields are a problem, then I'm not sure how to achive this.

comment drag and drop folders,Items in sharepoint
The abity to click a button in the interface and have it open in Windows File Explorer is in fact IE only. But the ability to connect windows file explorer to a sharepoint document library is available regardless of which browser you use. You simply Map a drive to the folder or open the network path directly.

The error is really obscure and probably will not lead you to anywhere... But at least you know the problem: the highlight jquery plugin is not being loaded... Looks like maybe you are using InfoPath, which I have little experience with... but if you were able to load jQuery, then if you enter the <script> for the highlight plugin right after that, it should loaded it (as long as the path to the file is valid)

If you read the instructions on that plugin, it states that you need to setup a CSS class of .highlight that defines the color to be used when words are highlighted in the page. Sharepoint already has some classes you can use, so I have revised the code above to 1) use them (so you don't have to define new ones), 2) unhightlight keys words on subsequent finds and 3) enter key support. There is also an alert for debug purposes - checking that the plugin is loaded.

Just re-read your response. If no error, then insert a few alert() that check for the plugin. If that's loading, then check the jQuery version requirements for that plugin. I'll try to look at this a little closer next time I'm at a computer.

Did you load the jQuery plugin mention? What error are you seeing in the console (if any)?

comment Did the hidden input for dropdowns change?
Oh. Had not heard about that change. Surprising Marc has not either. FYI: you probably should stick to jQuery 1.x version. 2.x does not support older versions of IE. Remember that even if your users have a IE>8, SharePoint includes a tag on the page that tells it to "use IE 8"

comment Updating a single list item based on relative URL
Nice @vadim. I just replied to a similar post on SPServices. There is also a way to do this via the old web services. See my blog post here: paultavares.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/…

comment How can I ScrollTop in SharePoint 2010 with JQuery
I think you should be using SharePoint's built in functions that allow you to add a callback to be executed after the page loads... If you are messing with window.load() then you are also messing with SHarepoint's load functions - which are bound to the load events... Some of the methods can be found here: sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/93937/… Also: Is this really the solution to your original problem? How did you ultimately fix the problem of scrolling to a given element?

Thanks for checking @tiago. This is puzzling to me. So you were able to place a webpart outside of the s4-workspace div?
