comment move items to a subfolder in a document library using spservices
although you are correct in all that you mention above, and folks should be using those features of Sharepoint, this response does not answer the original question. Thus why I down voted it.

@BGM - that sounds correct.

comment How to merge mulitple list in single view?
Yes, use promises to manage multiple Ajax data requests. Also: you can write the data out to any format you like. For a table that allows you to sort and filter, you should probably use a third party table widget.

@mihir - there might be a way to that. Can you post to github issues? github.com/purtuga/SPWidgets

@mihir no, not in the current version. But you can do a subsquent update (after upload is done) and update the item.

I would like to see what you mean by 'enabling async'. Can you post a code sample that you believe is slower than the CSOM? Also post the equivalent code in CSOM for comparison.

comment jQuery Code Only Works When Alerts are Active
What error are you getting when you run without alerts()? There are a few variables above that are global... like 'values', 'dataItems', 'headers'... where are they defined and to what? (values seems to be an array of columns?

comment CAML query not working with dates no idea why
I saw this on SPServices forum as well. The correct attribute to use is OffsetDays - regardless of what the MS docs have. To me, it looks like the values of Geq and Leq are reversed. The above is trying to get all items where the start date is greater than 7 days from today --OR-- the end date is Less than 7 days ago. Is that what you really want?

comment How to get List by Url using SharePoint 2013 CSOM
Vadim, if you had mention using another method other than CSOM, then yes. The SOAP services has it a method that you can use - SiteData.GetURLSegments. I wrote about it here: paultavares.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/…

comment How can I create Ctrl-F Functionality from a search field?
Sorry I can't be of more help. If you find where jQuery is being inserted, then you should be able to also include the plugin referenced. Also, if input fields are a problem, then I'm not sure how to achive this.

comment drag and drop folders,Items in sharepoint
The abity to click a button in the interface and have it open in Windows File Explorer is in fact IE only. But the ability to connect windows file explorer to a sharepoint document library is available regardless of which browser you use. You simply Map a drive to the folder or open the network path directly.
