I think you have to trigger the new Request. My solution would be to Request __doPostBack and handle your Params via the Request properties. In your case it would be: var dates = new Array(); dates  = stringstart; dates  = stringend; __doPostBack("Button1", dates ); In the code himself these could be accessed by: Request["__EVENTARGUMENT"];
