Using an out-of-the-box 3-state workflow. It is set to email the assignee when the item is created. However, when an item is created the task is not usually assigned to anyone. The creator is emailed with a task notification where the body says that the task was created by that user, but the subject says the task has been assigned to the creator. Is this a bug in WSS 3? Is there a fix/workaround?
Edit: to clarify - this is a 3-state workflow attached to a standard list with a separate 'assigned to' field from the underlying workflow task list.
