There doesn't seem to be a way to do this through SharePoint designer. Do I just need to recreate it? It's not a reusable workflow...

I am guessing you have to recreate it... SPD WFs which are not reusable are bound to the list using the "WorkflowAssociation" property in the Object Model. Maybe there is a way to read out this association and attach it to a new list. Tho it may be easier to just recreate it :) |

I'm not exactly sure about SharePoint 2010, but there was a way in 2007 where you could create a dummy workflow on the new list and then copy all of the XML over while replacing the List Guids: http://vspug.com/andynoon/2007/09/18/reparenting-a-workflow-to-a-different-list/. Be warned, this process is extremely painful. You're probably better off writing a custom workflow action or the entire workflow in Visual Studio. |

There was a utility somewhere that was supposedly able to do this, but I was never able to get it to actually work so I didn't bother to remember the name of it. I ended up having to recreate my SPD workflows. Pretty painful. |
