SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have been asked to create a page on our internal SharePoint 2010 site that is basically a table of contents. I can use the TOC web part but it will not show any items that are secured via item/page level security, and it only goes 3 sites deep.

Is there a way to create a TOC/Site Map for the entire site so a user can see all links available even if they do not have permissions to view it? Basically give them the ability to see that a site and/or page exists but they cant view it. This will give them the ability to request access later.

If there is a custom part/solution out there for this that would be great; if not any ideas on how I can go about something like this.

Is Site Directory still an option or another tool that will do the same?
