SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

The situation is following:

I have this kind of string = 58;#value;#59;#value2;#60;#value3;....

So as you see this is just if i do: SPFieldLookupValueCollection collection= new SPFieldLookupValueCollection(listItem["fieldname1"]); string value = collection.ToString();

But in some occasions, it is formed like that = 58;#;#59;#;#60;#;.... Meaning the value is not passed directly but only the id's are passed and the value retrieved later by sharepoint etc.

But for my custom development, i still need to have this correct string format is build.

So basically is there a way now to retrieve the values?

I do have access to SPListItem if needed ... etc ...
