SharePoint Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SharePoint enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

So I am trying to work out what is going on with an old copy of sharepoint 2010.

The main problem I am having is to get new users in Active Directory synced with sharepoint, however I cannot get the Forefront Identity Manager service to start.

The error I am getting is:

.Net SqlClient Data Provider: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot open database "FIMService" requested by the login. The login failed.

Looking in the SQL Server i can see this database does not exist. When was this supposed to be created, what is this database? Can I download it from anywhere?
